An integrated programme which comprises eight work modules:
- Executive functions
- Daily living activities
- Social skills
- Social cognition
It consists of 300 easy to conduct rehabilitation exercises with instructions and answers, guidelines to assess change, follow-up sheets and suggestions for exercises to be done at home.
The exercises are organised by cognitive subdominions and levels of difficulty. The programme contains recommendations and guidelines on how to assess change or improvement, and collect and use information in the work sessions with patients. The material is practical, attractively presented in colour and contains instructions for patients and answers for therapists.
It can be used in individual or group sessions. It is advisable for the therapist to have a background in neuropsychology.
It was officially launched on 26 September 2012 in the framework of the 16th National Conference on Psychiatry in Bilbao. To date, the Rehacop programme has been re-edited and updated several times, with the 3rd edition being the latest and most up-to-date currently available.
There are other rehabilitation programs created by our team (Other rehabilitation programmes and assessment tools). Specifically, taking Rehacop and the work conducted as a reference, a specific version adapted for people over 55 has been developed, REHACOG.
