Programme description

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Social Education
  • Credits/Duration: 60 ECTS yearly x 4 years= 240 ECTS
  • Number of places: 60
  • Teaching method: Full time, taught sessions
  • Language of instruction: Spanish and Basque
  • Internships: Compulsory: 30 ECTS (during the 3rd and 4th yrs. of study)
  • International programme: Electives: 30 or 60 ECTS (one semester or two in the 3rd year)

Internships

Graduates with work experience: Internships

All of the students in the Bachelor’s degree in Social Education must do an internship during the 3rd and 4th years of study. It is one of the key activities in the syllabus for this degree, carrying 30 ECTS credits.

Two personal tutors will guide you as you experience this first contact with the world of work.

Practicum I (12 ECTS) Practicum II (18 ECTS)
  • In the second semester of the 3rd year of study
  • It will provide you with your first job experience.
  • You will have the chance to work at a centre or organisation where you will be in contact with professionals and services beneficiaries.
  • The two semesters of the fourth year of study
  • This experience affords you total integration in a centre or organisation in a specific field of professional socio-educational intervention.

You will also take part in at least one socio-educational project or activity to assist you in performing the basic tasks required in your professional profile, which are:

  • Understanding the context and meaning of socio-educational work.
  • Building educational relationships with programme participants.
  • Communication and collaboration with professionals from the field.
  • Planning and coordinating socio-educational activities.
  • Knowledge of oneself as a person/professional. 

     

You will carry out a wide range of advanced level tasks and duties:

  • The reasoning of socio-educational practices.
  • Delve more deeply into educational relationships through key processes.
  • Coordinate work with other professionals through teams.
  • Design, implement and assess socio-educational processes.
  • Design and manage professional projects.
     

The Faculty of Psychology and Education has internship agreements with more than 50 centres and organisations so that you can choose the one that best suits your interests.
