Programme description

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity and Sports Science
  • Credits/Duration: 60 ECTS credits yearly x 4 years= 240 ECTS
  • Number of places: 60
  • Type of programme: Full time, taught sessions
  • Language: Spanish, Basque and English
  • Internships: Compulsory: 12 ECTS (4th course)
  • International programme: Electives: 30 or 60 ECTS credits (one semester or two in the 3rd year of study)
  • Undergraduate Final Year Project: 6 ETCS
  • Faculty: Faculty of Psychology and Education

Concentrations

Students can choose from two concentrations:

  • Physical Activity/Sports Education
  • Physical Activity/Health

Each mention comprises 30 ECTS. Students are required to complete 5 subjects carrying 6 ECTS each.

Physical Activity/Sports Education

This specialism centres on ensuring that students learn the fundamentals of teaching and education in the field of sports and physical activities.

  • You will learn the fundamentals of teaching-learning physical activity and sport from an educational approach.
  • You will acquire in-depth knowledge of the theoretical-practical aspects of different scopes of education.
  • You will learn how to promote physical activity projects, during and after class hours, fostering healthy, long-lasting habits as a means to ensure a better quality of life.

This specialism focuses on in-depth study of physical activity oriented to health.

You will concentrate on fields such as:

  • Prevention
  • Retraining and prescribing physical activity programmes
  • Boosting healthy habits
  • Improving the quality of life
  • Prescribing physical exercise for different groups
