Relational-Systemic Psychotherapy

Overview

The Master’s degree

The need to address mental health from a relational-systemic approach

Mental health care calls for a response that takes the individual’s relational context into account as a sine qua non condition to understand their behaviour.

In this respect, the family forms the most relevant context to promote, prevent and recover health, and clearly plays a mediating role. The family, its dynamics and structure, may be the most important aspect in its members’ protection, well-being and integration.

Relational-systemic psychotherapy is a discipline from the mental health field which aims to diagnose and address mental and emotional disorders from the systemic and relational perspectives.

After graduation

Upon finishing the two years of study, students will be awarded an official “Master's degree in Relational-Systemic Psychotherapy” diploma.

They will then have the option to continue studying a programme focusing on clinical supervision and seminars: “Specialist diploma in Relational-Systemic Psychotherapy: Clinical Supervision and Psychotherapeutic Advances”. This diploma will enable students to fulfil the requirements to earn the Europsy Specialist in Psychotherapy and certification as a Family and Marriage Therapist.

These studies may be completed at a pace that meets the student's certification needs, in agreement with the requirements of the FEAP.
