Objectives and professional profile
Depending on the students’ undergraduate background, they will be capable of the following upon completion of this Master’s degree:
- Carry out coordinated multidisciplinary intervention in the field of drug dependencies.
- Work in different fields of prevention, assistance, insertion, support and coordination. Graduates will be equipped with the competences needed to design, plan, manage, implement and assess social, psycho-social and social health interventions in the field of drug dependencies, according to their previous academic background.
- Apply an interdisciplinary comprehensive approach to intervention that encompasses myriad factors involved in the needs of the different groups concerned and their contexts.
The programme aims to form professionals capable of implementing interventions subject to quality guarantees and maintaining innovation based on scientific evidence as their work methodology. In their tasks, they will never lose sight of the social and ethical implications of working with people, such as the respect for human dignity, defence of human rights, equality, universal accessibility and health care and welfare of individuals, groups and society.
