Methodology

  • Experiential context: Activities focusing on exploring pre-concepts, significant cases and students' previous experience concerning the theme being studied.
  • Reflective observation: Activities prompting reflection by questioning and systematic observation.
  • Conceptualisation: The material is presented through lectures and on-line resources, texts and/or guided illustration.
  • Active experimentation: Applied activities such as case analysis, intervention and research projects, problem and project-based learning, summaries, practical activities in centres, etc., data collection and analysis.
  • Assessment: Activities such as written exams, reports and others.
  • Students attend individual and group tutorials to have their work supervised and monitored.
  • Students make use of online tutorials to have their work supervised and monitored.

Assessment

  • Practical in-class individual and group activities: questionnaires, exercises, problem-solving, case studies.
  • Final project.
  • Attendance and class participation.
  • Internships in neuroimaging laboratories.

Students are required to attend at least 80% of the taught sessions.
