Methodology

The course lasts six months, from January to June. The face to face sessions will be held two or three times a week (Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday) from 4 to 8 pm.

The modules combine theory and practical knowledge. Students apply the knowledge and competences acquired through real and/or simulation-based case studies in the internship module.

The lecturer in charge of each module will assess students’ performance. Assessment may include theory review of a topic, case studies and projects supervised by the lecturer and related to the bibliography and guidelines set for each module.

Attendance to 75% of the taught sessions is required to obtain the diploma.


Students on this course learn to:

  1. Contribute to building and disseminating good professional practices in family mediation.
  2. Apply and improve action and decision-making protocols that are used to meet families’ needs.
  3. Plan, develop and implement a mediation process in family environments.
  4. Develop professional ethics and an appropriate value system that can be used as an outline or action framework to boost professional practice.
